HOSPITAL BREAD.
I have been a patient in the Auckland Hospital since May. lOtt.y and during that time 1 never remember being given bread t•• cat which was not good eating, palatable and digestible. It has alwnys tasted sweet to me. and 1 ha\e eaten both brown and white. Moreover, 1, ha\e not heard one of niv fellow patients complain, and there are generally II of us in thi* part of the ho>pi!al. coining an I going throughout the year*. Al*o I have often visited friends in many different ward* during my long sojourn here, and not one of the:" ever mentioned anything about not gett innice bread to eat. Whether bread unfit t• human consumption has been delivered to the hospital or not 1 do not know.
