Disappointment in the reduced dividend of (j. J. Coles sent sellers' limits down sharply on the Stock Exchange this morning after reported sales at £."> 8 0. (Quotations dropped to buyers £4 IT ti, and sellers £J 1, , without dealings being made. I he only other big price movement was in iaran aki C* i 1 s. which continued their reaction, and sold 1. ti lower, at 3, . Later quotations were from 2 0 to 3. 7.
Markets are moderately active, some of the improved values including National Bank ot New Zealand at a rise of 3d. to £3 2 3. Commercial Bank of Austialia at 19, 5, Broken Hill at £4 !) . and Mount Morgan at a rise of 4d, to 18, 10. Electro. Zincs and Mount Lyells were less active than usual, late rates ruling. New Zealand Breweries showed strength at £3, but lobaccos withdrew a few pence alter yesterday's nctivitv.
In the mining section Big Rivers retained their recent strength at 2 . In the unlisted section, Westland Breweries were firmly held. Grey Rivers brought 4. ti again, while Woolworths (Sydney, ord.) cased to sellers at £8.
