MISSING SUITS.
LABOURER BEFORE COURT. Charged before Mr. C. K. Orr Walker in the Police Court yesterdav with having broken into the shop of Henry Herlx-rt Wilson, tailor, at 30;}, Karungahape Koad. on .January Aussie Harry I leal, ayred 23, labourer, wlio was not represented by counsel, pleaded not guilty and was committed to the Supreme Court for trial. Detective Serjeant \\al«-h prosecuted. The occupant or t-ie premises, Henrv Herliert Wilson, said that 011 the morn injr of January 0 lie found two window > in the side of the building broken. On "lie of the windows lie found markindicating that an attempt ha<l been made to forcp it. The ..tiler window had been opened. Two suits were mi-* nig, one of tlieni being a suit that accused had ordered but had not paid tor. Witness identified one of the suitproduced by Mr. WaHi as the one accused had ordered, and another a* the ot her suit missing from the shop. Witness valued the suits at £> Hi/ and £2 2/ii respectively. Detective-Sergeant IJcvell, of Hastings, gave evidence of having interviewed accused at Hastings and produced a statement, iu which accused said that the suit he had ordered and another were given to him before he left Auckland by a friend whose name lie would not disclose. He admitted having pawned one suits ii Wellington
