CARNIVAL AT MOUNT EDEN. NEW SPRINT CHAMPION. The 50 yards men's swimming championship, which was decided at the Mount Kden Amateur Swimming Club's carnival at Mount Kden baths last evening, resulted i!i victory for P. Hanan. who defeated R. B. Frankham and N. Crump after a preat ran-. P rum :i good start Hanan was first to turn, with Crump nnj Frankham level behind him. The three raced for the rrnpo. but .Hanan was the tirst to touch, the time being 2.". I.ls. The carnival was the first held in the baths since the installation of the new tiltralion plant. The Eastern Suhurha Amateur Swimming and Life-saving Club's annual inter-cluD harbour race for the Worrall Cup will be contested to morrow afternoon from Bay to Kohimaraina wliarf.
