GAIXXCHAN'S EXCLUSION. NOT DUE TO FINANCE. PALMERSTON NORTH, Wednesday. The Palmerston North Chamber ol Commerce has been informed, in connection with the decision to raise the neces sary finance to have Norman Gallichan one of Manawatu'e Plunket Shield repre sentatives, included in the New Zealand cricket team to tour England, that it i: not a question of money. Mr. A. J. Grahair, president of th( chamber, was in touch by telephone to day with Mr. A. T. Donnelly, chairman o: the management committee of the Nev Zealand Cricket Council, and wai informed definitely that lack of financi had been no barrier to the inclusion o a fifteenth man in the team. The poei tion was that the Cricket Council ha< decided to eend only 14 men and thosi players had been selected. However should it eventually be decided ti strengthen the team by sending an extri man, the selectors would be asked t' make a further choice. There the matte rested in the meantime.
