SINKING FUND VERY FIT. (By Telegraph.—Special to "Star.") HAMILTON, this day. Track conditions at Te Rapa this morning were holding as the result of regent rain, but several interesting trials were registered by local candidates for Pukekohe. The course proper, 30ft out, was open for fast work. Diaeqiiedoon (Gilmer) wan doing lx-ttor than Full o' Scotch lAinunsdeni at the conclusion of five furlongs in 1.7 I-,V-a useful effort under the conditions. Curlew (McKenzie) hit out over a round in 2.S\a. Poland and Susan were practically on tqrms at the conclueion of five furlongs in 1.10. Kilberis (Mathers) dan hod ovor three f 111 longs along the back in 37 4-ss. Sinking Fund (McKenzie) finished clear of Blackman (Gilmer) over the deciding stages of eeven furlongs in 1.34, after running hie initial five in 1.8. Sinking Fund is looking a picture of condition, and providing the going is reasonably firm at Pukekohe he will take a power of beating. Vera Acre (Amunsden) and Gay Streak (Gilmer) were clear of an unnamed Whirlwind gelding at the end of eix furlongs in 1.19 3-5. the first halfmile in 535. English Night (Mathers) and Bryce Street (Long) slipped over three furlongs along the back in 36Vz«. A useful effort over half a mill' wan that of Tavern Song (McKenzie I and Conietariiim (Gilmer). who finished clear of H:-palong (Aniimsden) in 52 i-'x. the first three in 37*/ i-!. Sir Tommy (Giliuer) stro 1 • over a round in 2.6. Sunny Downs (Long) and Free Advice (M'thers) dashed or -r three furlonjrs along the back in 375. the former relishing the conditions. Ha"'.. niosiis (Gilmer) ran five furlongs in IS. his first half-mile occupying 54 2-,">s. Sergia (Day) ran once round in 2.6 3-3.
