GRETMOUTH CONGRATULATED
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) GREYMOUTH, Wednesday. At the Supreme Court to-day, before Mr. Justice Xorthcroft, there was only one criminal case for trial. The judge congratulated the district on its continued freedom from serious crime. John Cyril O'Doniiell, a trucker, aged 27, was charged with negligent driving, thereby causing the death of William Ramsay Burt, in High Street, Greymouth, on August 20, and with failing to stop to ascertain whether he had injured a person and to render all practical assistance possible. The jury, after a retirement of two and a half hours, returned a verdict of not guilty.
