World's Largest.
BALTIC AND FAR EAST. (Keo<"ivp(l lO.riO A.m.) LONDON. February 26. The "Daily Telegraph" naval correspondent says that Russia is now believed to possess the largest submarine fleet in the world, namely, 130, of which 40 arc in the North Pacific, based on Vladivostok and 90 in the Baltic. Most of the Russian submarines are small and not designed for ocean cruising. Nevertheless, they would be formidable enough for operations either in the Baltic or the Sea of Japan.
