FILM WRITER SHOT.
MYSTERY IN CALIFORNIA.
(Received 9.30 a.m.) NEW YORK, February 26. Humphrey Pearson, aged 40, a widelyknown film writer, was found shot dead in bed in his cottage at Santa Monica, California. The sheriff found Mrs. Pearson hysterical in the same bed as her dead husband. She was not able to give d clear account of previous events.
