APIA, February 20. A record auction sale of damaged iiu'rcliandise. landed at Apia from the -.s. I ii\ cilia i:k. which n< on fire in December lawhen on the way to Nukualofa. Tonga, was held here on February •> and 0. The goods, mostly in fairly good condition, realised exceptionally high prices. The Jnverhank was reported to have <M>t. on fire a second time after leaving Apia. She carried large cargoes of copra and cocoa beans, shipped from Samoa.
