Stigar workers and their employees met in Conciliation Council before the Commissioner, Sir. R. E. Price, to-day, to discnM conditions of work and wages. The discussion was expected to occupy the whole day. Assessors for the employers were Mr. W. E. Anderson, secretary of tlie Employers' Association, and Messrs. R. M. Saddington, W. W. Daniels, L. E. Hudson and E. G. Upton. For the employees Messrs. C. Chandler (advocate), G. Turner, W. Atkins and P. Hern appeared. The morning half of the proceedings was occupied by a discussion on machinery clauses.
