CLEVEDON SPEEP FAIR.
The second sheep fair this.year was held by the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, at the Clevedon yards yesterday. A very full yarding of sheep came forward, everything changing hands under the hammer. Values for aged ewes were on a par with the reduced rates ruling during the past two weeks. Young ewes and wethers sold freely under good competition, g Quotations: —Four-tooth and six-tooth ewes sold up to 35/6; mixed aged ewes, to 30/; five-year-old ewes, to 27/; good fullmouthed ewes, £1 to 24/; aged and inferior, 12/ to 18/; fat wethers, to 27/9; four-toothed wethers, to 25/; two-tooths, to 23/6; good mixed-sexed lambs, to 24/6; good wether lambs, to £1 1/; fair to good lambs, 15/ to 18/6; smaller and cull lambs, 9/ to 14/; two-tooth Romney rams, up to 60s; seed rams, Ign t» 3J4gs.
