LONG CYCLING TRIP.
THREE SISTERS ON TOUR. A cycling trip of over miles is being made by three sisters, Misses Lorna. Raw i ami Nancy Davis, all in their early 'twenties, of Rongotea. about 14 miles from Palmer-ton North. The party is now in and is staying with friends in Mangere. The girls cycled to Auckland via Ohakune. National Park. Taupo. Rotorua, Tauranga. Paeroa. Thames an<l Coromaudcl, a total distance of about ">3O miles. The itinerary for the return journey will be Hamilton, Rotorua, Waikaremoana, and Napier. The party carries a tent and sleeping bags for camping when the weather is favourable. The trip is purely a holiday one. arid about five weeks has been allowed for the 1000-mile journey. The girls average about .">() miles a day, and usually stay two or three days in the larger centres.
