I There was fair activity on the Auckland Stock Exchange this morning, but some reaction was noted in Australian issues, notablv the metal class. Mount Lyells dropped back with business 3. 6 lower, at £2 14 6. and buyers lor Electrolytic Zincs lowered their limits to £3 2 . G. J. Coles were on offer yesterday's sale price. £5 13 6, and Broken Hills, after reported business unchanged at £4 10 have a market between £4 0 3 and £4 9 9. The banking section was steady and firm, and Now Zealands made further headway with a sale at £2 4 6. and more wanted at thai figure; sellers up to £2 5 3. Auckland Gas shares staged fc recovery, and after reported business at £1 1/ there were buyers at £1 14, with lowest sellers asking £ 1 2/6. Government stocks were again rather quiet. Busy at Noon. There was a free flow of business during the morning, and keen bidding at the noon call. A big list of sales was put through with a bright tone apparent. Bank of ZSe"*y Zealands made further gains, with business at £2 5 . Mount Morgans were active at a 3d concession and sales at 18/3. Aew Zealand Breweries firmed up with a transfer at 06, and South British dropped another 6d. when a parcel changed hands at £4 17/6. BAX.ES completed AT THE 3.16 P.M.
