FOR CITY AND PROVINCE.
The Government Meteorologist issued to the " Auckland Star " this afternoon the following apoolal weather forecast for the Auckland Province to aa far eouth ae Tauranga, Kawhia and Hamilton:— Moderate to strong northerly winde, backing shortly to westerly and southwesterly. Weather changeable, with intermittent rain, and beooming cooler. Seaa moderate, but rising on the west ccast. A depression is now paesing eaetward oir New Zealand, and an anticyclone la approaching aoroes the Tasman Sea. For 24 hours from 9 a.m. this days— The indicationa are for modarato to strong northerlles, shortly backing by weet to sopth. Weather changeable, with inarmittent rain probable. Barometer unßeady; eoon rising. Seas moderate. HAURAKI GULP CONDITIONS. * The following report of weather conditions in the Hauraki Gulf was received from Tiritiri Island at noon to-day:— Wind, north, fresh; ssa, rough; weather, fine and cloudy but hazy; visibility, poor; barometer, steady.
