WITH DEMON KING.
BISHOP PHOTOGRAPHED
LONDON, February 12. Bradford's Bishop Blunt, who at the beginning of the abdication crisis last years was one of the most-talked of men in Britain, .was photographed arm-in-arm with a "demon king." It was behind the scenes at the pantomime, "Mother Goose." On the Bishop's other arm was the principal girl, Doreen Cheyne. Bishop Blunt it was whose remarks to the Diocesan Conference on December 1. led the "Yorkshire Post" and the "Manchester- Cuardiaai" for the first time partly to "take- the lid off" the gossip current in informed circles about the Kilia's romance. Commending Kin" Edward VIII. to GckVs grace, "which he will so abundantly need, as we all need it," the Bishop had said: "We hope that he is aware of his need. Some of us wish thaf he gavej more positive si<rns of his awareness." ~Hi s words were interpreted as a rtfereuce to matters of which he said* afterwards he had no knowledge.
