FAMILY GATHERING.
A unique family gathering took place at Clevedon South on February 10 when there met together the descendants' of two pioneers of the district, the late Hugh and Annie Sutherland. The function was held at the old homestead farm, there being a total of 94 present, all being either descendants of Mr and Mrs. Sutherland, or direct relatives bv marriage. Of the family of 13 all the surviving six sone and five daughters attended, these being: Meesrs\ H Sutherland, Matamata; E: C Slither land, Te Puke; H. A. Sutherland. Alton. Taranaki; A. C. The day chosen marked the seventvthird anniversary of the weddin- dav of the pioneers, who came to New ZPaland from Nova Snotia in 1852 There are 34 grandchildren and 48 greatgrandchildren. K'^t
