THE HITLER SALUTE.

ORDERS TO AMBASSADORS.

(Received 2 p.m.) LONDON", February 12. Owing to indignation caused in Britain by Herr von Eibbentrop's full Xazi salute, consisting of upflumr arm, clicked heels and the words "Heil Hitler" in the presence of King George VI. at a Buckingham Palace formal reception, Herr Hitler lias reconsidered the whole matter of diplomatic salutes.

According to the "News Chronicle," he has ordered his representatives, whether members of an Embassy or a Consulate, to give a Nazi salute while performing official duties consisting of an informal flip of the hand at shoulder level, and not with the arm- fully outflung. "Heil Hitler" will not be said.

Ambassadors, apart from Herr von Ribbentrop, have hitherto saluted according to the custom of the country where they served.
