MIND YOUR KNIVES.

Fine emery powder will remove stains from white ivory knife handles. To h'x loose knife handles, mix four parts of resin, one part beeswax and one part plaster of paris. Fill the hole in the handle with this cement, make the steel of the handle nearly red hot, and press it into the cement. Soak rusty knives in linseed oil overnight. Then wipe off the surplus 'oil and polish with powdered unslaked lime. When storing knives, smear them with vaseline to prevent rust.
