DOWN WITH THE RHINE WINE I BERLIN. ; The consumption of wine in Germany has almost doubled in the Inst three years. In 1033 the consumption was 4.7 litres (4.o(i(i quarts) per capita, as against 8.7 litres (0.187 quarts) in 1030. Credit for the increase is given to the campaign of the German Government boosting wine drinking. A total of 445,000,000 litres of wine was consumed to date this year.
