RACE FROCKS.

TROTTING CLUB,

BRIGHT COLOURS WORN,

Cool grey skies, and a touch of warmth inthc air, made weather conditions' fairly 'pleasant for the iirst day of the February meeting of the Auckland Trotting Club, which was held at Alexandra Park to-day. . The deep oreen of the lawn and" course threw into relief the vivid flowers which line the long fence in front of the grandstand. Summer clothes were worn by jnany of the racing enthusiasts. Macintoshes of all styles were carried, and their bright colours added a gay note. Host popular were' the rubber capes in cerise or green, and many carried umbrellas.of the same shades. Where a belted raincoat was selected, frocks of light material were chosen for comfort's sake. Scarves knotted at the neck made a bright effc-ct.
