POSITION IN LONDON. SMALL STOCKS ON HAND. London figures relating to imports, stocks ami deliveries for London are just to hand lor the month of January. Imports for January, represented by 32,000,0001b, show a decrease of 11,125,0001b against January, 1930, also 6,500,0001b less than for the preceding month, viz., December, 1030. Deliveries during* January were 30,230,0001b, representing 2,125,0001b increase ngainet January, 1036, aiul an increase of 375.0001b against December, 103 C. The stock figure of 207,025,0001b shows a, decrease of 7,250,00011) against'the previous month, and a decline of 45,375,0001b compared with stocks at the end of January n year previous, which figure will be noted as showing a very sharp decline spread over the last twelve months, and present stocks have not been smaller for the month of January since as far back as 1924.
