Lonsdale and Co., London:— Butter.—Market Quiet, buyers inactive. New Zealand. 80/; Australian, 86/; Danish, market steady, 123/. Cheese.—Market firm. New Zealand white and coloured, 33/0. IN SHORT SUPPLY. LAMBS IX LONDON. The Bank of New Zealand has received the following advice from its London office, as at close of business this week:— Wethers.—The market is quiet and unchanged. Light, ad to ")%d per lb; heavy, id to Iftd. Ewes.—The market is steady—3v'sd to 4%d per lb. Lambs.—Are in short supply until next arrivals. Twos, 7%d to 7%d per lb; eilghts, "%d to sd; fours, 7d to 7%d; seconds, 7%d to 7'id.
PRICE OF SILVER. LONDON, February 11. Silver is quoted at 20V6d per ounce for spot delivery and at 20 MOd for forward.
