POULTRY.
At to-day's auctions the supply of poultry was medium and the demand was rair, except tor cockerels, which were a little lower. Selling rates were as follow: — Cockerels: Heavy breeds, prime 2/ to 4/ each, not prime 1/ up; light breeds, prune 9d to 1 9. not prime 9d to 1/. Fat roosters: Heavy breeds, prime 1/9 to Jij-'ht. bleeds 1/ to 19. Fat hens: Heavy breeds. 2 6 to 3/0; lijiht breeds. 1/3 to 10. Laying hens: Heavy breeds, young 3'9 to 4'6: light breeds. 2/9 to 3'9. I'ullets: Heavy breeds, best 3/9 to 6/, smaller I' 9to 2, / 3: light breeds, best 3/9 to 4/6. smaller I' 3. Drakes: Young, prime V 6 to 2 ; . smaller 9d up. Ducks: Young 2/6 to 3/6. old 1/ to 1/9. Drakes: Old 1/ to 1/9. Geese: 36 to 5/6. Turkey hens: 6/6 to 8/6. Gobblers: 12 6to 15/.
