BUSINESS MEN'S SUGGESTION.
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.)
WELLINGTON, Wednesday
The executive of the Associated Chambers of Commerce is recommending to constituent chambers that the provincial Anniversary Day holidays be held on a common date throughout the Dominion. It is also making representation to the Government in favour of the holiday for the King's Birthday being always on the same day, say on the second Monday in June. Objection is raised to December 14 owing to the proximity to Christmas.
