CABLE DEMONSTRATION.

MR. NASH IX LONDON;

A report issued by the manager of the Auckland branch of' Cable and Wireless, Ltd states that the Hon. W. Nash, New Zealand Minister of Finance, visited Electra House, Victoria Embankment, London, yesterday and lunched with Mr. Edward Wilshaw, the chairman of Cable and Wireless, Ltd., and other directors Of the company. Mr. Nash was subsequently given a demonstration of modern overseas telegraphy and exchanged messages with New Zealand over a special circuit arranged in the courtroom af Electra House. By means of direct and automatic cable, working between England and New Zealand, messages were exchanged in a matter of seconds.
