The first open meeting of tlie Mount Koskill Koad Board this yaai was held last night. Mr. C. M. McCullougli presiding. Sanitation.--The works committee was instructed to ie]>ort on tiie question as to what extent the board can control the sanitation services on the Winstone l'ark Kstate, with special reference to the present alleged irregularity and uncertainty of service complained of by a ratepayer. Drainage.—The Auckland and Suburban Drainage Board advised that the additional area to be included in the drainage district would be subject to the first annual levy from April 1 next. Metropolitan Milk Council. —The chairman. Mr. C. M. McCullough was nominated as a candidate to represent the 1 >->0 11 bodies on the Auckland Metropolitan Milk Council. Building Progress.—The building inspector reported that 2o building permits of a total value of £7077 had t>een issued in 1l:t----last two months. For the year ended December 31 last 170 permits were issued of a total value oi £4.5..59 d, including 01 dwellings costing £36.605.
