RIFLE SHOOTING.

AUCKLAND DEFENCE CLUB. The championship series of the Auckland City Defence Rifle Club was concluded at 300 yards with a double shoot. Sighting was fair, the heat causing a certain amount of false aiming, but the wind was steady and scoring was particularly high among the leaders or the day. The A grade spoon was won by I. J. Spry on a count back from A. G. Devoie. 11. C. Russell and J. A. Spry. B. Crocker won the B grade spoon on a count back from K. Hill. Trophy points to date are:—A grade: I. J. Spry, J. K. liuchanan and J. E. Kelly. 3; bevore, 2; Kussell, 1. B grade : B. Crocker, 4; Hill, Koaden, 3; Johns, Perrin. 1. The club championship was won by F. Bowes, with an aggregate of 749, C. J. M. Clark being runner-up -with 745, H. Simmonds, S. C. Parkinson and A. G. Devore being next with 738. The B grade title was won by H. G. Collingwood with 719. D. F. Perrin 698. I. G.
