MINE STOPPAGE.

ROTOWARO DISPUTE. PROTEST BY TRUCKERS. NO WORK DOME TO-DAY. (By Telegraph—Own Correspondent.) HUXTLY, this day. The Rotowaro mine is idle to-day as a result of a dispute between the truckers and the management. A stopwork meeting was held this morning before the hour for the commencement of work, and as it was carried on over the scheduled starting time the men did not begin work. The truckers consider that preference is given by the management to certain truckers when work is required to be done on days when the mine is idle. The truckers are protesting against this and want the work equally distributed. The management, however, contends that the work is being shared as much as possible. It is not known at the moment whether or not the mine will be worked tomorrow.
