PRINCE RANGI GOES FAST. FOG PREVENTS EARLY TIMING. (By Telegraph.---Special to "Star.") TE AWAMUTU. this day. A denee fog obscured tho tracks here thiri morning, and made timing of horses galloping early on the course proper, 20ft out, impossible. Among those who worked fast early were Galilee. Ngaknru. Rulettc, Clooneon. Son of the Soil, Girl Pat and Lady Meath. After tlip interval Prince Rangi. with Lady Diana as a companion, were Kent five furlongs, which took 1.3 4--5. Lady Diana had n flight advantage. British Xation was sprinted two furlong*, and occupied 2o 1-os. Valpai. who was sent six furlongs, had the assistance of Besiege over the List five. He ran the six furlong* in 1.18V4, and the last the in 1.4. Loom hi iiiit ion was allotted a mile and a quarter, and clocked 2.17%, the last mile taking 1.50. Sweet Rose. Superior Guard. Lady Voyonne, Arcadian, Hutana, Survulvon. Celtic Lad, the Xigger Minstrel — Liason filly, the Rosewing—Linlaen colt, and Huntingmore were all given strong work on the inner tracks. Riding engagements for the Rotorua meeting are:—C. G. Goulebro., Xgakaru, Lady Meath, Son of the Soil. Rulette, Kilberie; R. Home, Killadar, Trilliarch, Prince Rangi; J. Meßae, Valpai. At the Egmont meeting C. G. Goulsbro will ride San-hedrin. Aueeie Ra, Gold Band and Te Broney.
