SHOW ABANDONED.

DAKGAVILLE DECISION. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) DARGAVILLE, this day. At a special meeting of members of the Northern Wairoa Agricultural and Pastoral Association, Mr. Hugh Montgomery, the president, presiding, it was decided to abandon the show fixture for February 17. The voting was very close, 11 supporting the motion for the abandonment of the show and 10 against the proposal. The majority opinion was that there was risk of infection through contact, and should one case of infantile paralysis happen in the district members would never forgive themselves. The meeting decided by 11 vctes to 10 to hold the usual show night dance on February 17.
