WAIKATO SHOW.
REBUILDING PLAN. A COMPREHENSIVE SCHEME. EXPENDITURE OF £60,000. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON", this day. Involving an expenditure of about .CBO.OOO, a scheme providing for the rebuilding of practically the entire Waikato Winter Show buildings has been authorised by the executive committee, and will be proceeded with in stages following the conclusion of this year's exhibition. The programme includes the erection of three more large halls of a similar size and design to the Bledisloe Hall of Agriculture, which has attracted worldwide attention, and the construction of a new concert hall, a restaurant with a dance floor, a kitchen and new administrative offices. An area of adjacent land, ;">ft by 210 ft, has been acquired for the extension of the amusement area. The new halls will be erected by the side and at right angles to the Bledisloe Hall, replacing the' old wooden structures. One hall will be used for model farms and equipment, another for arts and crafts, and a third for milking machinery, the motor olympia and dairy products." An imposing circular entrance in front of Bledisloe Hall, with attractive facades along Ward Street, are provided in the plans. The conceit hall will accommodate 800, and will have n hirgc modern stage suitable for entertainments throughout the year. All the buildings will be under one roof, and connected. When completed, the blcck is expected to be tlie largest and raost up-to-date in the Southern Hemisphere.
