LONDON MARKET IMPROVES. ! CHEESE REMAINS STEADY. (By Telegraph.—rrcss Association.) WELLINGTON, this clay. The following information is supplied regarding the London butter and cheese markets by the Primary Products Marketing Department, which received it by cable from London:— Butter.—New Zealand salted. 867 to 88/; unsalted, 02/ to 94/. Deliveries: New Zealand, 3125 tons; in store, 5649 tons. The butter market was firmer for the end of the week. The New Zealand retail price is lid to 1/, lid becoming more general. The London quotation is equal approximately to 10.17 d per lb, f.o.b. New Zealand ports, compared with the guaranteed price of 12.565 d. Cheese.—New Zealand white. 51/ to 51/6; coloured, 59/6 to 51/.
