STABLE AND TRACK NOTES.

FULOJOY'S PROGRAMME. Fulojoy. recently sold to llr. J. T. Evans, of Feilding, for lOOgs, was purchased mainly for use at the stud, but she is apparently to be raced further, as she has been nominated by her new owner for Woodville. TO RACE AT EGMONT. Clessamor did not accept for the Flying Handicap at Xew Plymouth, as the stable bad The Tiger and Refresher engaged. K. the wav Clessamor has done since Stratford, aiul the Laokham—Clcsanta gelding i is to- be produced at the Egmont meeting next week.

GREY HONOUR RESUMES. D. E. Cotton has Grey Honour back in work again at Riccarton. This hack raced consistently, but unluckily, last season, and it is to be "hoped that luck will favour him when lie is ready for racing again. On the eve of the New Zealand Cup meeting Grey Honour went amiss and had to be turned out, hut he looks in excellent order now and will not require a great deal of work to bring him back to his best.

A PROMISING FILLY. After being off the scene since last spring Bronzette id in regular work again at Te Kapit and is due to reappear at the Kbtorua meeting. This filly displayed n fair amount of promise in the few races that she contested and is expected to develop into a useful performer. lironzettc has also lioen entered for minor hack events at the Waikato meeting, which opens next Saturday week. COURSE SHOULD SUIT HER. Arniacourt did not have the best of luck when she was beaten into third place in the Devonpoit Handicap at Kllerslie last week, otherwise she would have been closer at the finish. This mare has made marked certain to earn more money before the present term is over. Arniacourt is engaged in a couple of mile events at xc Rapa and should be seen at her best on the roomy country course. WILL HAVE TO IMPROVE. Since winning the Ladies' Bracelet at the Kotorua Hunt meeting last November, Lilbert has been beaten in each of his engagements, and his form has been rather disappointing. The black gelding will have ,i further opportunity to redeem himself at the approaching Kotorua meeting, where he figures in the Pohulu Highweight. Summed up on his past efforts, Lilbert is only a moderate, and he will need to improve in order to pay his way.

OPPORTUNITY LOOKS GOOD. Since competing at the Takapuna meeting Jack Tar has not been asked to do any fast work, though he looks in nice order. So far this gelding has not won a race, but he has been in the money and is a likely improver. At the Kotorua meeting Jack Tar claims an engagement in the AVaimangu Stakes, a weight-for-age event, run over five furlongs. As the class in that race is not over strong Jack Tar will have DID NOT REPEAT FORM. After his good showing on the first day of the Takapiina meeting Huntsman's Chorus was solidly supported in the Moana Handicap on the second day, but he never looked dangerous at any part of the contest. He lias trained on the right way in the meantime and is due to make his next appearance in minor "events at Te Rapa. The Hunting Song gelding is a good type of hack, though ho will require to show some ■ improvement in order to bold his own against the class he will be meeting at the country fixture. ENTERED AT WAIKATO. In her only start at the Takapuna meeting. Kilonsii registered an impressive win in the Wynyard Plate. It was her third success this season, and she has been improving all the time. In each of her races the daughter of Kilbroney has been running on in a manner which suggests that she would be capable of negotiating longer journeys when given the opportunity. Her connections evidently are of that opinion and have entered her for the Storey Memorial Handicap, one mile and a quarter, at the Waikato meeting.

DOING GOOD WORK. Now that the trae.Vs are beginning to ■ become firmer Master Brierly has been displaying improvement in his work, and his effort over six furlongs a couple of mornings ago at Ellerslie was a first-class one. This horse did not have the ground to suit ■ season, and it is not yet too late for him ■i to make a return to the winning list. The > chestnut gelding claims an engagement in ' the Storey Memorial Handicap, the chief ■ event at the Waikato meeting, and if the ■ conditions are favourable he should acquit hirmelf creditably.

MAKING GOOD PROGRESS. Since resuming work some weeks ago, Valmint has made good headway, and it is doubtful if this hack has ever looked better than ho does at present. He has no early engagements, consequently he is not required to do any particularly fast work, most of his tasks being restricted to strong pacing on the tan track. Valmint proved himself a very capable galloper last season, and he will only iieed to train on correctly to enable him to pay his way in the future. Ho has not been over-raced, and as lie is only a four-year-old lie should have a good future.

HAS BEEN CONSISTENT. . Although King Neptune has only started three times his form has been consistent, resulting in two firsts and one second placing. Several horses that finished behind King Neptune have won in the interim, and that makes his efforts the more impressive During the past week the son of Tidal has been responsible for some good track work, and lie sprinted attractively over five furlongs a couple of mornings ago. King Neptune is down to compete at the Waiknto meeting, to be held later in the month, where he is engaged in open handicap events.

SON OF THE TETRARCH. The English stallion Salmon Trout, recently sold by Mr. K. 11. Stockley, of the Pibworth Stud, Berkshire, to .Mr. F. S. Myerscough, an Irish breeder, has been resold by Mr. Mycrscough at a big price to a South African studmastcr. Salmon Trout is a son of The Totrarcli. ami was bred by Lord Furncss. The Ag.i Khan purchased the horse as a yearling for olXlgs, and among the races he won was the Doncaster St. Leger. Salmon Trout's stock have won more than £00.000 in stakes to date. K. B. Bennett, King .Salmon and Salmon Leap being among the best of his progeny.
