GOOD COMPANIONS.

A most enjoyable evening was spent by the Good Companions in their clubrooms at the Unity Hall on Thursday. A hearty welcome was extended to the vice-president. Mrs. Codsell. anil Miss Kell on their return from Svdnev and Melbourne. They supervised "the games and competitions and item.-, assisted by the president. Mr. C. Ktissell, ~nd Mrs. l'ageui. Humorous monologues were •riven by .Mr. Corbridge, and Mr. Williams, the blind pianist, played old-time melodies, which were sung heartily bv the members. Tile, pri/e- winners' in'eluded Mrs. Buchanan, Mrs. Webb, Mrs. Leech, Miss Kane and Mr. Franklin, jun. The supper was in the capable hands of Mrs. Sutcliflc and her daughters Mrs •I. Russell and Miss Jean SutclifTe, Mrs. McGuire and Miss Kane.
