MINOR FIRES.
MOTOR LORRY ABLAZE. Both the Parnell and Central Fire Hri.va.lcs answered a call this morning nt S.-14. to Kiistt.n Street. Parnell. when .1 lorry, owned by IC. and 11. L'raig. was in llnmcs. The chemical extinguishing apparatus was used by the brigade?, and the lire was put out 'in short lime. No reason could be given fur the outbreak. The cab of the truck was 1,.,d1v damaged, and the. electrical 'wiring destroyed. A lire occurred on the premi-cs of A. Penny, baker and pastrycook, Queen Street. Onclinngn, at 10.10 a.m.. when the Onehunga Brigade attended. Heat from the oven is believed to have been responsible for the lire, which damaged eaves and Horn- boards in toe building:. Little other damage was done.
