i — . i MINERS' MEETINGS. TWO WATKATO MIXES IDLE. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) J HTJNTTLY, this day. Two mines on the Waikato coalfields, Macdonald and Glen Afton, are idle to- ; day as the result of stop work meetings being held at the mines. It is understood that meetings of the miners, which started this morning, discussed remits dealing with a new agreement which is to be discussed at a conference at Wellington this month. Officials of the Miners' Union, it is stated, have arranged ,a further meeting for Saturday, but thi* working of the ipineeiwill:not be interrupted, for there is on that day.
