' REV. W. E. CONNOLLY,
A well-known minister in the \n-H----™n Churcl, in Auckland, the Rev \y h. Dubl:n He was ordained in 1880 by Bishop Lbsary for the curacy of Gorev. Couiuv \Vexford. He was later ~t Hollvuoo.l an.l at bnlleymore vi Eustace. Comity \\ :eklow, and at 1-nnnaracor. County' Meath Mr Connolly was for some time -anon or St. Ki:ine Barrea Cathedral. C«.rk He came to New Zealand with Bishop Neligan, and whs appointed vicar of I aparoa. North Auckland. Afterwards he was associated with the Rev. \\ . K Beatty in the parish of St. Marks. Remucra. where he took sole charge of what is now known a« St. Geor"e's. Duriliji his term of ollicc he sa-.v "the church built and the foundation of the new church district laid. Mr. Coni.nilys first wife died in lOOtt. He later married Miss Anna Flail. chniahter of Mr. Robert Hall. One free Hill. Mr. Connolly was a Freemason of Grand F.ocljie rank, and was past niaster of Lodge Remnera.
