PETER PAN.

The spirited music supplied by Theo Walters and his famous Personality Band set a merry pace for the throng of dancers at the Peter Pan Cabaret on Saturday evening. Each member, including the versatile leader, is an adept in an amazing variety of instruments, and there was a demonstration of applause after every item. Intricately syncopated airs and "crooned" melodies were featured on an outstanding programme. Artistic lighting and novelty effects gave atmosphere to the musical presentations. Among those present were: Mrs. Bruce Elliot, who was wearing a magnolia brocaded taffeta frock with floral design; Mrs. B. Taylor (Christchurch), black crepe suede; Mrs. R. S. Roddick, pastel flat crepe; Miss Constance Cunningham, shell pink cloque; Miss Jean Drummond, bottle green faille with touch of cherry red at the waist; Miss A. Pennell, black satin beaute; Mies- E. Metcalfe, turquoise blue lace; Miss Fiona Thomas, olive green delustred satin; Miss Meg Kemp (Bay of Plenty), white checked organdie; Miss Margaret McKay, ivory charmeuee; Miss Mabs McKay, white mariette; Mis*> Jessie Gillies, maize toned chiffon taffeta; Miss Joan Bar.rett, black ninon patterned in roses; Miss D.
