A WONDER SCHOOL.
SPBAT BATHS, LIFTS AND CINEMA. The London County Council is reported to have adopted a plan for a wonderful new school at Camber well. The assembly hall is to have cinema apparatus. All classrooms will face south to catch t h-e sun. Big sliding windows will transform rooms into open-air classes in suitable wea titer. The north side will be devoted to corridors, cloakrooms, etc. Lifts, instead of stairs. Covered playgrounds on floor level, opening on the south into an open-air playground. Two rooms for lmbies, with rest rooms containing bed* where children requiring rest may be undisturbed while others play. A school garden, with a plot for each scholar. A medical inspection room, with waiting room, spray and foot baths, dining room, milk dispensary and rooms for craft work. The school is to accommodate 264 boys, 2(54 girls and 270 infants. The cost, it is said, will not exceed that of an ordinary school building.
