The seamanship and swimming abilities ot Auckland yachtsmen stood the test, and although 50 or more were thrown into the water and double that number placed in dangerous positions through accidents to masts, spars and sails, not one serious accident occurred, all being accounted for at the end of the day. following are the finishing times of the iate races of which the results appeared in yesterday's final edition: — Seine Net Fishing Boats (first prize, Sanftiril Cup special trophy presented by M'r'V } Val * h . and £10; second, £5; third, £1 10/; fourth, £1). —This race was started on the pilot system, and six boats crossed the line together, only 10 of the So entrants starting and onlv five completing the course. The races for motor boats were held In the comparatively sheltered area between the Prince's and Western wharves, and very keen contests were witnessed in the speed boat division, Mr. Reg Tappenden's Miss Vauxhall gaining two firsts and a second. The races were watched by a large number of enthusiasts who braved the elements, being partially sheltered by t&e Prince's wharf sheds and motor cars ■which lined the viaduct. Lachlan) lm 30s. 3. Speed Boat Rehandlcap.—-Miss Vauxhall (R. G. Tappenden), lm 30s, 1; Imp (F. D. Pidgeon) 555, 2; Mickey Mouse (R. Mouat) 2m 40s, 3. Speed Boat and Outboard Rehandicap.— Miss "Vauxhall (R. G. Tappenden) lm 50s, 1; Imp (F. D. Pidgeon) lm 30s, 2; Mist Chief (B. Armstrong) 30s, 3. MODEL atlW- the model yacht events to be carried out on Orakei Basin. After one race the other races were cancelled and will be held to-morrow. The result was: lorangi (R. McKay), 1; Flying Cloud (N.
