Water Pumping Losses.— A report by the town clerk stated that for tlie eix months ended November 30 a total of 40.4.J2..1!)1l Lailmis uere p"i"PP<3- Of thi* ■ pianlity 3731*2.000 gallons were sold and i"rfi.(KK) gallons (estimated) used for purposes, leaving g .060.590 pallons, or 18.6 per cent, unaccounted for. Some recovery had been made from the loss figure (21.3 per cent) for the previous half year and the percentage of loss was satisfactory in view of the fact that the main leaks which caused the excess loss were not traced and repaired until the end of July.
Building Permits.—During the past year 125 building permit*, valued at £83.216. were issued by the One Tree- Hil! Borough Council, stated the buildinc inspector's report for 1936. This represented an increase of £36..t69 over tho total value of buildinz permits in 1f15.".. Since the beginning of the new ymr ten permits, valued at £'!ST2. had been I granted.
