N.Z. BOWLS TOURNEY. LIFE TO SPARE IN RINKS. NEEDHAM OUT OF PAIRS. (By Telegraph.— Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. The New Zealand bowling tourney was continued under overcast, but otherwise good conditions, the Wellington Club's green was running freely, but was not Keen. There was no wind, which eliminated all the uncertainty that attached to many earlier games. Kcsults of post-section play:— SINGLES. (IDar. champion, !•'. Livingstone. Onehnnga.) Engebretsen (Napier. 1033 champion) beat Brackenridge (Lyall Bav). IS—lo. K. V. Thomas (Napier) 22, v. Ehgebretscn (Napier) IS. • PAIRS. (103(> champions: ,1, \V. Turpine ami R. Huwortli, Canterbury). Lowry (Petor.e) beat Wynyard (West End, Auckland), 21-12. RINKS. 198(1 champions, C. H. Elsom, I, \V. Tnrpin, C. J. Shaw. K. Haworth, Canterbury.) Gray (Kclburn) beat Perrv (Thorndon), 36-21. Haworth (Canterbury) beat London (St. John's). 27-15. Gray has the bye in the next round, and will meet the winner of Haworth (Canterbury) and Silbery (Petonc) this afternoon. With a life to spare Gray has won all his post-section games.
