INTRUDER ESCAPES.

To see a man's head half way through a window at about 2 o'clock in the morning was the experience of Mrs. A. Wydur, of Water Street. The shop which she occupies, and also that of Mr. V. Kokich, which adjoins it, have living quarters attached, and early on Thursday morning Mrs. Wydur was awakened by a gentle movement of the blind in her room. She switched oil the light and saw a man's head and shoulders disappear. She immediately roused Mr. Kokich, who rushed outside and saw a man dashing away. The intruder was last seen going over the fence and heading in the direction of Cafler's Avenue. The police are investigating the matter.
