SWIMMING.

OLYMPIC CHAMPION.

COMING TO AUCKLAND. The world's swimming champion Jack Medica, of the United States, is a passenger from Vancouver to Sydney by the Aorangi, which is due at Auckland on January 17 and leaves the following day in continuation of its voyage. Medica, who won the 400 metres title at the recent Olympic Games in Berlin and holds several world's records, is to make an Australian tour organised by the Amateur Swimming Union of Australia. Accompanying him as his manager and coach is Mr. L. Cavey.

The Auckland Centre of the New Zealand Amateur Swimming Association is endeavouring to arrange for Medica to compete in Auckland after his Australian tour.
