The Cerro de Pasco Copper Cor|>ora.tion lias taken an option on the oa!pa gold mines in Arequipa Department. The port of entry to the property is Atico, 400 miles south of Callao. The Government will construct a 50-mile road to the mine.y'
Employees will leave to establish a port base and working quarters at the mines. Little underground work has been done. It is understood 'preliminary operations have been confined to proving the value of the property.
