COMMUNITY SUNSHINE.
A FAREWELL TEA.
MR. AND MRS. RAYMOND FERNER
Members of the board and friends of the Community Sunshine Association met ab Sunshine House yesterday morning to bid farewell to Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Ferner, who will leave shortly to take up their residence at Grevmouth. The- room was attractively decorated with large bowls of pink and blue hydrangeas pink gladioli, and asparagus fern, and the guests were received "bv the president of the ladies' auxiliary Mrs. W. Cham pa ny-Bright.
Sir George Richardson, chairman of the board, presented Mr. and Mrs. Ferner with a pair of crystal candlesticks In responding, Mr. Ferner asked those present to hold as their motto "Looking forward." Forward and onward, he said, must be written into the consciousness and service of all connected with the welfare of childhood. Mrs. Ferner also spoke.
Songs and duets were rendered by Mrs. Winnie Osborne and Mrs. H. McGregor. Morning tea was served by Mrs. A. Turner, assisted bv her committee comprising Mrs. Lane, Mrs. Salmon, Mrs" Angrove, and Mrs. Pattulo.
The vice-president, Mrs. M. A. Miller, who is shortly to leave for England, was also presented with a token of esteem 011 behalf of the ladies' auxiliary.
