SILVER JUBILEE.
PARAMOUNT FILM COMPANY. AUCKLAND STAFF'S LUNCHEON ' Members of the -staff of the Paramount .Film Company throughout the world gathered -to-day to do honour to the head of; their organisation, Mr. Adolph Zukor, on the occasion of his birthday, which falls at the same time as the silver jubilee of the company. In Auckland the staff attended a luncheon at Milne and Choyco's, Mr. F. B. Thompson, • local manager, presiding.-
Mr." Thompson traced the history of the Paramount organisation since" its formation in 1912, laying particular emphasis on the enterprise and courage of Adolph Zuko'r.in raising the company to its present position. Mr. Zukor, he said, had made" a name for himself that would never, he forgotten in" the .history of film production. .-_•' ■"
In New* York to-day a huge' congratulatory luncheon is being held, film stars and executives of world repute attending.- .-..:
