CHRISTMAS PARTY.
One of the most delightful Christmas parties of the season was on Saturday evening when a large number of friends entertained Miss Dolly Farquliar at her residence in Wynyard Street. A canopy of streamers and balloons was arranged over the dancers in the ballroom, while flag-bridge was played in the draw-ing-room. Bowls of carnations, stocks and sweet peas were used with artistry on the supper tables, which were arranged in the dining-room. Miss Farquliar was the recipient of some beautiful gifts, including a huge brass gong mounted on a pedestal. Among the guests were: Mesdames Charles Jonas, H. Rainger, John Farrell, W. L. Henton, Price, Cowan, Dobson, Galbraith, H. Busli, J. B. Mitchell, H. D. Haszlitt, Misses Elsie Cleary, Halley, Jarvis, Gray, D. Shepherd, J. Maxwell, M. Butler, McLeay, Aileen Davies, Nene Jowett, Grace Burwell, Vera Mackay, Fay Onwkwell, June Farquliar, Rowena Farquliar, Dot Grant, Pat Cole, Shirley Martin, Edith Chambers, Joyce Kay, Evelyn Tucker, Lilian Lugton, Lucille Coakley.
