A bitter attack "on the attitude of other countries towards the .new Germany and a demand for immediate allocation of colonies, was made by the Minister of Economics, Dr. Schacht, in a speech at the Geographical Association's centenary. "Germany has not enough room for her people to live," he said. "Despite all efforts it has been impossible to obtain what is necessary to ensure life. The shortage of raw materials is even greater than that of foodstuffs. "When I discussed. the matter with a diplomat of a country probably possessing the greatest possibilities of expansion I was advised to restrict the birthrate in Germany." ' • - -
